Question

Is the cost to obtain a depreciation report from a quantity surveyor fully deductible? How would it be reported?

Answer

It is a tax-related expense and, where the property is only used to earn rent at the market level, it is fully deductible under Section 25-5 of the 1997 Tax Act and, for an individual, should be reported at Item D10, Label M of your income tax return.
